In Loving Memory ~
On April 14, 2022, Gerald Vard Coleman slipped into eternity, surrounded by family. Gerald was born 80 years ago in Cardston, Alberta to Hazel (Sillito) and Vard Coleman. Gerald married Kay (Jensen) in 1967. Gerald and Kay owned and operated Green Velvet Lawns from 1975 to 2007. Gerald started woodworking in his golden years. In between making numerous wood pieces for his wife, children, and grandchildren, Kay and Gerald travelled to Europe, planned several memorable family reunions, visited their children and grandchildren, and spent many hours serving within their church.
Gerald was predeceased by his parents, his two brothers Terry and Clarke, and his grandson Matthew Teel. He is survived by his wife Kay, son Benjamin (Debbie), daughters Bobbi (Eric) Teel, Heidi (Doug) Twitchell, and Sandra (Adam) Rubow, grandchildren Preston, Ethan (Jojo), and Victoria Coleman, Megan, Mandy, Hayden, and Emma Teel, Max, Katie, Jacob, and Clara Twitchell, and Josh, Caleb, and Nathan Rubow.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 1 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1506 35th St., Vernon.
The family wishes to say thank you to Dr. Brett Poulin and the staff at the Heritage Square for their care and compassion.
