June 24, 1947 - February 6, 2019
Gerry was born on June 24th, 1947 in Vernon, B.C. and passed away on February 6th, 2019 in the North Okanagan Hospice at the age of 71 years.
Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lynda; one daughter, Trina (Ron) Rodgers of Kelowna, B.C.; two sons, Shane (Laura) Borstel and Andrew Borstel of Vernon, B.C.; seven grandchildren, Nichole Mitchell (Kyle), Deven Rodgers (Amanda) and Christopher Rodgers, Christopher Jung and Matthew Dietterle, Jackson and Emily Borstel; three great-grandchildren, Hailey, George and Nova; one brother, Terry (Denise) Borstel of Salmon Arm, B.C.; one sister, Reva (Wayne) Schick of Williams Lake, B.C.; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Kay Borstel.
In respecting Gerry's wishes, he was cremated and a private family gathering will take place at a later date in celebration of his life.
