Gerda was born in Ponett, Germany on January 5th, 1930. She was an active member of the German Edelweiss club for many years.
She had a great passion in travelling with her husband George to Germany, and with her family to Maui. She had a great love for going on bus tours with her girlfriends.
Gerda loved baking and took considerable joy in baking Christmas cookies for her grandchildren.
Gerda went to rest peacefully on November 11th, 2021 in Armstrong, BC.
Gerda was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed by her son Marty (Tammy) Stein, and daughter, Dorothea Stein, grandchildren Andrew (Holly) Stein, Daniel (Donalyn) Stein, and Melanie (Clayton) Yeroschak, great-grandchildren Mckenzie, Jetson, Charlee, Urban, Leila, Hayven, and Lachlan.
She was predeceased by her husband George in 1996.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Donations may be made in Gerda's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
