Gerhard Alexander 

Feb 14, 1927 – Feb 20, 2014

Gerhard passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 87. He is survived by: his loving wife Kaethe of 63 years; daughters: Helga (Ken), Ingrid (John) and son: Gordon (Diana) grandchildren: Kim (Kitty), Barbara (Ross), Ian (Brittney), Eric (Renatta), Katelynn, and Patrick (Kayleigh) great grandchildren: Jake, Elisabeth and Braden; along with cherished nieces and nephews. 

Gerhard was born in Breslau Germany as the youngest of 4 boys. In 1953 Gerhard, Kaethe and Helga immigrated to Canada. He and his brother worked very hard in the logging industry in the Quesnel area. In 1967 they moved to Prince George where he worked as a millwright in the pulp industry. Gerhard was a very hard worker. He managed to build 6 houses while working full time. He retired in 1988. Their retirement was spent travelling, camping with family, and spending the winters in sunny Arizona.

By request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Vernon Hospice House (3506 27th Street Vernon, BC V1T 1S4) or Canadian Cancer Society (Suite 104-3402 27 Ave, Vernon, BC V1T 1S1).
