We regret to announce the death of John Campesato at Polson Extended Care of February 23, 2016 at the age of 87 years.
John was born in Italy and moved to Canada in 1957, settling in the lower mainland, where he was employed in the construction industry for over 20 years prior to moving to Vernon.
John loved his garden and was blessed with a “green thumb,” and was very involved in his church for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Margaret, sons Oswald in California, Stef (Rebecca) in Vancouver, daughter Rosella (Bernie) Roy in Maple Ridge, and grandsons, Juliano, Silvano, and Matteo Campesato.
Prayers will be recited at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3013 37 Street Vernon, BC on Sunday February 28, 2016 at 7:00 PM, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated there on Monday February 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM with the Reverend Father Gerard Rusak, celebrant. Interment will follow in Coldstream Cemetery
