Glenn Allan Schultz, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2011 at Heron Grove Care Facility.
Glenn is lovingly remembered by his family: daughter Glynis (Barry); sons, Grant (Cindy), Albert, Brandin (Laurie); grandchildren: Roger (Louise), Russ, and Kaylen; brother, Rayne; and many life-long friends. Glenn married his childhood sweetheart, Leona, in 1950. Leona predeceased him in May of this year.
Glenn was born in Bashaw, Alberta in 1926 and attended school there. He enlisted in the Armoured Corp. (C.A.C.) in 1944 and volunteered for the Pacific Theatre of War in 1945. He was injured and pensionably discharged. After recovery, he worked as a commercial fisherman with his own boat in the Pacific. He then worked for an oilfield exploration firm until 1949, leaving as a Party Chief. He started an oilfield construction company in 1959, eventually selling it and going to work as an independent oilfield consultant. Glenn was a Canadian Legion Member for sixty-some years, entered the Masonic Lodge in 1957 and worked for several service clubs.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Heron Grove for the unfailing support provided to Glenn and also to his family at this sad time.
