Gordon Harold Henschke SR.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon on Sunday Sept. 26th/04. He is survived by his loving wife Sheila of 51 years, his son Gordon, daughter Donna, son-in-law Tom Hutchinson and two grandchildren, Zach and Jordana. He also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Gordon enjoyed an active sports life. In his younger years he played minor hockey and had a tryout with the Edmonton Oil Kings. He played for the famous B.C. Champion Nicks Aces softball team. He also curled for many years, and was an avid golfer at the Spallumcheen golf club.

He was active in the Lions club having joined when he was owner of Felix motors a local V.W. dealership.

In his later years, Gordon devoted much of his time to his family, especially to his grandchildren, Zach and Jordana. He could be seen at every one of Zach’s hockey games and enjoying all of Jordana’s scholastic achievements.

Gord was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

There will be a celebration of life for friends and family at the Army and Navy Club 4:00 – 6 P.M. October 1st/04. arrangements have been entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. 542-4333.
