It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Mortimer on March 4th, 2017 at the age of 72 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years, Christine (Graham) Mortimer; his sons: Colin (Megan) Morti-

mer and Curtis (Tori) Mortimer; his five grandchildren: Olivia, Kaiden, Josef, Treassure and Tae-ya. Gord also leaves behind two brothers: Dean (Marion) Mortimer and John (Nicole) Mortimer; their children, as well as extended family. He was predeceased by his parents: Reginald and Sadie Mortimer, and by his beloved dog, Tigger.

Gord was born on March 2nd, 1945 in New Westminster, BC and grew up in Canmore and Calgary, AB. He worked as a millwright for most of his life at numerous locations throughout BC. Gord enjoyed partial retirement in the last 10 years, while pursuing his hobbies of home renovation, travel, hot rod restoration and spending time with his family, which he cherished. He has lived in Vernon, BC since 1988 and this was where he raised his family.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, March 20th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the tea room.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Okanagan Hospice Society, 3506-27th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4 would be appreciated.
