Gordon James Wade
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon James Wade (Gordie). Born in 1951 he was the youngest child of Gordon Sr. and Doris. Gordie worked in the Trucking Industry for over 35 yrs. His passion in life was Blues music and he was a very accomplished harmonica player playing at numerous venues and functions thru-out the Okanagan. Gordie organized many fundraisers thru-out his community. He will be missed by many. Gordie enjoyed spending his time at home with his soul mate Linda-Sue and his pets Tanner and Boo Boo Kitty Wade and of course he loved his music.
Gordie fought his cancer to the very end. He was never one to give up easy. Gordie is survived by his daughter Erin, sister Sandee, brother Keith (Vernie), nephews Ryan, Mark, Ed, James, sisters-in-law Janice, Cindy, Sandra, brothers-in-law Philip, Rusty, Brad and Doug, and wife Linda-Sue Wilson (Palichuk). He was and will always be the love of her life. He is also survived by many, many true and close friends. Service is to be held on Tuesday, January 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, to be followed immediately by a pot luck dinner and wake and Live Music Jam at the Elks Hall in Vernon. Rest in Peace Gordie. There is no more pain now except the pain in all of our Hearts but your suffering is now over.
