Gregory (Greg) Morton Fitzgerald

Gregory (Greg) Morton Fitzgerald was born on February 21st, 1932 in Regina, Saskatchewan and passed away on July 5th, 2010 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Greg was a well-liked and gregarious individual. He was an avid and accomplished golfer, who was a former club captain at VGCC. He was also an enthusiastic curler, a life-long hockey fan, a sometime poet and a highly respected professional in the insurance industry. More importantly, Greg was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Like his “shaggy-dog stories”, he will never be forgotten and will forever remain in our hearts.

Greg is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley, two sons; Robert and Jeffrey (Anju), his daughter; Laurie, his granddaughter; Tara, two brothers; Pat (Marg) and Mike (Nancy) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his parents; Amos and Edna Fitzgerald and by his brother, Bob and Ruby Fitzgerald.

The family would like to thank the staff at VJH for the care Greg received. They are also very appreciative of the wonderful support they have received from friends.

In respecting Greg’s wishes, he was cremated and no Funeral Service will be held.
