It is with great sadness that the family of Gus Hoch announces his passing just a few days shy of his 81st Birthday.
Gus was born in Hubbard, Saskatchewan to Johann and Mathilde Hoch.
He leaves behind Lina, his wife of 34 years; his brother Matt Hoch (Ella); his son Bryan Hoch and daughter Caroline Hoch; his step-daughters Diane Perry, Joan Phillips and Pat Williams; his grandchildren Taylor Hoch and Raina Hoch; his step-grandchildren Jennifer Phillips (Andrew), Krystle Phillips, Marissa Breckman (Colin) and Nick William; and his step-great grandchildren Deziree, River and Hunter.
After working for the CN Railway for close to 26 years, Gus retired in 1999 while living in Chilliwack. In 2002 Gus and Lina moved to Vernon where he lived until he passed away at the Vernon Hospice House.
Respecting his wishes there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Okanagan Hospice Society would be greatly appreciated.
