It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Hamish only days after his 88th birthday. He was a friend to all who met him, a loving father and husband. Hamish is survived by his wife, Anne, his children Bruce Robertson and Jane (Gerry) Muckle and his beloved grandchildren Owen Muckle and Katie Muckle.
Hamish retired from BC Hydro after more than 35 years of service, he was a longstanding member of the Vernon Golf & Country Club, which he enjoyed with his wife Anne. He also enjoyed his many years of service to the Kinsmen Club, but his biggest love was family and he spent as much time as he could with them. He was loved by all who met him, was generous to a fault and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who asked.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. As Hamish would say "cheers! First of the day."
A service will be planned later in the summer and a separate announcement will be made.
