January 25, 1944 - June 25, 2018
With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Harold "Baxter" Wareham on June 25, 2018.

Baxter was born on January 25,1944 in Victoria to Rev GWN Wareham and Diana (Stewart) Wareham. Baxter attended school in Mayo, Yukon and North Vancouver before he moved to Vernon. It was here that he established his family and business. On May 3, 1969, he married Beverly Hubner. Together they had two children.

In 1976, he began Interior Fiberglas Ltd., the company that became known for the Canadian manufacture of Malibu boats. In 2005 as the company founder, Baxter was honoured with a plaque from the Better Business Bureau in outstanding customer service for over 25 years. Baxter's love of the water, water sports and the Okanagan lifestyle was evident in the craftsmanship and careful design of the fishing and leisure watercraft he so proudly put his name behind.

Baxter spent some of his retirement years serving the community by volunteer driving the Free Mason van for patients requiring treatment in Kelowna. Baxter and Bev enjoyed travelling together as well as spending time with family and friends. Baxter's special interests and hobbies included boat racing in his younger years, golfing and hockey.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bev; daughter and son, Kristi (Curtis) and Scott (Nicole); 2 grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Georgia; 3 siblings and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Baxter's life will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Paddle Wheel Park Hall 7813 Okanagan Landing Road, Vernon, B.C.
