Harold (Bud) Edwin Carlson
Sept. 3, 1918 to May 24, 2007
Our dad and grandfather will be missed by many friends and loved ones, as he passed away at home after 88 years of a very good life. Bud lived life to the fullest after moving from the Lower Mainland to Fintry Estates 30 years ago. He loved fishing, in earlier years hunting, and to this day his golf. Bud was a partner in a construction firm building many residences and schools before his retirement at age 58. He was a Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, a member of the Eagles and at one time a member of the Elks. Bud served his country in the Second World War with the 10th Field Ambulance in the Army. He is survived by daughter Leslee Farrell, grandson Sean Farrell from Victoria, and brother in law James McLellan (Jackie) of Calgary. His wife of 55 years, Marjorie Elizabeth Carlson, predeceased Bud in 1999. There will not be a public service at Bud’s request, but there will be a tribute to his life at the Legion, Branch 25 with ceremonies beginning promptly at 1:00pm on Friday, June 1, 2007. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home. 542-0155.
