It is with heavy hearts

we announce the

passing of Harold

at Vernon Jubilee

Hospital on October

19th, 2013 at the age of 96. He was born in Climax,

Saskatchewan on July 10th, 1917 to Frank and

Nellie May (Coleman) Ward. He moved at a young

age to Mission, B. C. where he eventually met and

married Frances Keenan.

Harold served in the Royal Canadian Air Force

in India and Burma from 1941 to 1946, being

awarded the North Atlantic Medal, the North

Atlantic Star, the Burma

Star, and the 1939-1945


Harold will be lovingly

remembered by his wife

of 71 years, Frances;

daughters, Sharon

Christiansen, and Donna

Calver; granddaughters,

Tami Lenser (Ryan

Nitchie), and Amy

Bohl; great grandchildren: Kendra, Kaia, Tyson,

Abby, and Carson; brother, Eugene (Marie); and

sisters, Hellen (Les) Draper, and Ruby Naslund;

and numerous nieces and nephews. He was

predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.

Cremation. There will be a private family service on

the coast next Spring. Flowers gratefully declined,

but those who wish to do so may send donations

in memory of Harold to the Royal Canadian

Legion, Branch 25, 5105 – 25th Avenue, Vernon,

B.C. V1T 1P5. Arrangements have been entrusted

to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. Condolences
