Harold Glenn Rose
April 7, 1930 – November 10, 2012
Harold was born & raised in Saskatchewan along with 9 siblings. Upon graduation from High School, he went to work for Schlumberger, then in 1952 he married his sweetheart Sarah Blanche Owen. Together, they moved to Regina and had two sons (Randy & Darcy), then on to Edmonton, where a son and daughter (Jamie & Karen) were added to make a family of 6. The west called and Harold brought the family to BC. Harold & Blanche bought the Falkland Store in 1968. He was involved with various social activities in Falkland for many years. After a stroke in 2004, Blanche & Harold moved to Vernon. Harold was predeceased by his parents along with 2 siblings & 1 granddaughter. Harold is survived by his loving wife Blanche, sons, Randy (Jennifer), Darcy (Marlene), Jamie (Kelli), & daughter Karen (Brad), 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 sisters & 1 brother, along with many other family members & numerous friends. Music played an instrumental role in Harold’s life, The Rose Family Orchestra was his foundation for a life filled with music. A Celebration of Harold’s Life was held Wednesday, November 14th, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, 2101 32nd St. Vernon BC V1T 5L2, in Memory of Harold Rose would be greatly appreciated. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Kelly & Louise of East Hill Respite & Dr. L. Boucher of Vernon for their wonderful care and everyone over the last few years that came to visit Harold.
