Mr. Harris Hanley Howes passed away peacefully in Vernon with his family by his side on Sunday, December 31, 2006. Aged 69 years. Harris will be sadly missed by wife Olga of Vernon; two daughters Robin Howes (Bryan) and Shawn Howes-Bos (Yuri) both of Vernon; son Garnet Howes of Calgary; five grandchildren Abigail, Sidney, Carmen,
Solomon and Marlon; two brothers Gerald (Mabel) of Moose Jaw, Sk and Barry (Barb) of Langley; extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Garnet and Abby. He was born at Old Wives, Sk. on January 6, 1937. Harris and Olga were married March 28, 1970. They lived in Vernon then moved to Armstrong for 19 years before returning to Vernon where he worked as Installation
and Operations Supervisor for CT&S in conjunction with Okanagan Telephone until retiring. Harris touched everyone he knew and will be lovingly remembered. His interests included horses, walking, reading, family time and quiet solitude. A Service of Remembrance will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Vernon Family Church, Vernon. Pastor D.
