Harry Dalbert (Dal) Bracken
was born on September 22nd, 1920 in Borden, Saskatchewan and died on March 18th, 2013 in the North Okanagan Hospice at the age of 92 years.
Dal will be lovingly remembered by his son, Gregory (Franca Ponari) Bracken of Calgary, Alberta; his daughter, Helen (Kerry Bosley) Donald of Gosford, near Sydney, Australia; three grandchildren, Corrie (Brandy) Banman, Katrina (Greg) Caton and Quentin Donald; five great-grandchildren, Aspen, Amy, Ashleigh, Megan and Elliahne; one sister, Beatrice Brockman of Tisdale, Saskatchewan; one special cousin, Doug Moss; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many dear friends and neighbours. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen on April 15th, 2005.
Dal served during World War II in the RCAF 408 Bomber Squadron from 1941-1945. He had a passion for farming in his earlier years, was an avid gardener, author, sportsman and generally just loved life!
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Dal’s Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Chaplain Ron Watson officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room.
