Harry Daciuk passed away suddenly in Vancouver, April 20, 2004. Born, November 1923 in Poland, he came to Canada with his parents as a young child together with his sister Mary. His father, Jerofy Daciuk, May 9th, 1984 and mother, Mary predeceased him. The eldest of five siblings, his four sisters who greatly loved him, Mary Bradt, Elizabeth Shelina (Phil) of Redding Cal., Nancy Grimm, (Vern), and Jean Gold (Steve) are all left to grieve his passing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. With his wonderful love of people and life, he had many anecdotal stories to tell when he returned home from his occupation as a logger in BC. It was not unusual for Harry to engage one in long and interesting conversations, as he loved to converse. He cared for others and showed concern for the direction that some in society were heading. As a resident of Vancouver for many years, he had numerous friends there who will miss him greatly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 8th at 1 PM at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, Vernon BC. Rev. Victor Maksymchuk officiating.
