Harvey Regier

1933 – 2007

Supported by prayer and the love of family and friends, Harvey went into the presence of his Lord on Thursday, February 8th, 2007 at the age of 73 years. He is survived by his wife, Helen, the love of his life for the past 21 years, his children; Brian (JoAnn), Julie (Roy) and David (JoAnn), Helen’s children; David (Anita), Corrine (Brian) and Wendy (Duane), twelve grandchildren, his sister, Beverly, who will also miss him so very much, and two nieces. Harvey was born on March 15th, 1933 in Netherhill, Saskatchewan and lived with his family there and in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan until 1947 when they moved to Abbotsford, B.C. He grew up there and started his working life in a window factory and camper manufacturer. In 1972 he moved to the Vernon area. Here he worked in construction and for School District #22 for many years until his retirement. Harvey and Helen enjoyed camping and travelling in their motorhome. A favourite place for them was the time spent at the Okanagan Gleaners in Oliver working with other volunteers to help produce dried soup mix for needy people of the world. It gave Harvey great satisfaction and joy to be involved in this ministry. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Harvey to the Okanagan Gleaners, R.R. #1, Site 70, Comp. 22, Oliver, B.C. V0H 1T0. Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Harvey’s Life which will be held at Cornerstone Bible Church, 4611-23rd Street, on Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Larry Woelke officiating. Funeral arrangements have been made with BETHEL FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5 (250) 542-1187
