Hazel [Babe] Routley passed away peacefully in the Alexander wing of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 26th 2006, at the age of 78 years. Babe was predeceased by her loving husband Ken on February 1st, 2000 and also her sisters Sadie and Mabel. Babe is survived by her loving family, Deloy [Linda]
of Vernon their children Jacquline [Dale], Greg [Heidi], Jeff [Kiley] and Martin [Kate]. Merna [Allan] Alexander and son Kane [Jennifer] all of Lumby. Wayne [Susan] of Grand Forks and their two sons Ryan and Sean. Derek [Lynda] of OK Falls their daughters Marney, Stacey and Shannon. Deven [Tane] of Merritt and their two sons Bryden and Darris. She also has ten Great grandchildren. Babe is also survived by her brother Rex [Penny] Alger of Lumby and her sister Loyda Bulford of Vernon.
Babe was born in Vernon living her full life in Lumby on the family farm since 1950. She loved sitting on her front deck, watching over the wildlife and enjoying her ever-changing view of Park Mountain. The farm was well known as a special gathering place for family and friends year round.
Services for Babe were held on Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 at 10:00 am. From the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating.
In lieu of flowers those family and friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Babe may do so to the Variety Club
