It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Gail Sorochuk in Vernon, BC. Gail is survived by Tracey; Don's daughter, sister-in-law Joan, brothers-in-law Ed and Dale, son-in-law Tony, grandson Calvin, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She is predeceased by her mother Delta, husband Donald, Don's son Cory, niece LeeAnn, sisters-in-law Leona and Rosemary.
Gail was born in Victoria, BC. She moved from Vancouver to Vernon to be closer to her mother and it was then that she met the love of her life - Don. For years Gail and Don enjoyed travelling to Palm Springs a few months during the winter season after they had both retired.
Gail was a very kind and caring individual. She was a very hard worker who worked in Vancouver at St. Paul's Hospital, and in Vernon at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital as a very compassionate registered nurse. She was an excellent cook and had a beautiful sense of humour.
During Gail's younger years, she attended a girl's private school in Vancouver - run by the Catholic Church. She learned at a very young age to be independent. Gail will be forever loved and missed by all of her family and friends. Due to the current COVID restrictions, a family gathering will be held at a later date.
