With sadness in our hearts we announce the death of Heather Marie Barker (nee Cooney), who passed peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2018 in Vernon, BC.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Heather moved to Langley, BC. in 1996 and completed her high school diploma at Brookswood Secondary School.
She is survived by her mother (Deborah), father (Geoffrey), brother (David) and three beautiful daughters (Madison, Janessa and Makayla), whose caring, thoughtfulness and warm-hearted nature are a testament and tribute to the mother that raised them. It is through her children that we will remember all the good that Heather had to offer throughout her time on earth.
Heather leaves behind many loving family members, including grandma Emilie, grandma Beth, the father of her children, Michael, parents-in-law Joyce, Julie and Michael, as well as her aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, friends and special friend, Christina.
As the bells chime we say our farewells and miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
A celebration of Heather's life will be scheduled for a later date.
