In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the passing of Heidi Kristensen. She passed away at the age of 62, unexpectedly in her sleep on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, at her beautiful home in Vernon, B.C. Heidi was a daughter, a sister, a wonderful wife to Spence, and a loving mother to Michael.
Heidi worked her entire life in Vernon. She found her true calling as an ambassador at Polson Care Facility where she connected with people and made everyone feel special. She loved to make things "sparkle", especially by showering others with gifts and words of support. Her laugh was contagious and could be heard from a distance.
She loved to throw a party and was she ever good at it as a self-proclaimed "hostess with mostest". Heidi had a heart of gold and had a way of always making people feel welcomed and loved. She loved her Friday night happy hours on her deck. Anyone could stop in an enjoy her beautiful flowers and hospitality.
She leaves behind the love of her life for 47 years, Spence; son, Michael (Jaime); chosen daughter, Rheyanne; siblings, Monica, Cindy, Curt (Diana) and Gary; sisters-in-law, Monica (Glen) and Suzanne (Phil); and her many nieces and nephews.
Heidi will be missed by all who knew her. May her sparkle live on through the connections she made.
A Celebration of Heidi's Life will be held at a later date this summer in Vernon, details to come. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the SPCA.
