With broken hearts we announce the passing away of Heidi Anne Thiessen, close to her family home in the Salmon Valley on March 23rd, 2007 at the age of 24. She was taken away tragically and suddenly from us, but not to God. Heidi is survived by her mother Deanne who dearly loved her and her beloved siblings Jesh, Jaydon, Kari (& Marc) Goossen and not forgetting her “Pickle.”
Heidi was not only beautiful, but had a sparkle, a great sense of humour, energy, creativity, determination and zest for life! However, what stands out most in Heidi was her ‘perseverance.’ She continually had to deal with her heart, her thoughts, her feelings, her dreams and rebuild them. She continued to persevere until God called her home. Heidi is now with her Dad (Alan) who was predeceased in 2004. Her life and the memories we hold so dear will forever be remembered by her family, Grandma Thiessen, Papa and Gran Crosby, her uncles, aunts, friends and too many cousins to name in B.C., Alberta and Ontario.
“Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops ‘perseverance.’ ‘Perseverance’ must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 3185 Becker Street, Armstrong, BC.
To the many friends and relatives who have so helped our family through this tragedy, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
