After a very long life, on May 22nd 2023
Helen Bye passed away just days short of her 102nd birthday.
Helen was born on June 3rd, 1921 in Cupar Saskatchewan. She loved sharing her fond memories of growing up on a dairy farm, milking cows and delivering the milk by horse and buggy.
As a young adult, she moved to Vancouver where she worked as a self-taught bookkeeper. Helen met her husband, Murray, at a dance and they were married in 1951. Together, they raised their three children, moving to Coldstream in1963.
Helen was the best baker, especially her apple pies. She also loved gardening. She was proud to host many gatherings with family and friends. After retirement, Helen and Murray loved spending their winters in Mazatlan, Mexico.
Helen is predeceased by her husband Murray and her grandson Mark Konopada. She is survived by her children, Stewart / Evelyn Bye, Debbie/Nick Konopada, Barb / David Bye/ Shandro, grandchildren Murray/ Christine Bye, Jaquie / Brent Both, Andrea/ Zac Linderman, Katie /Jason Young, great-grandchildren, Owen, Aubrey, Heather, Tyson, Lucas, Myra, Jonas and Lilly.
Helen had a long and happy life and was dearly dearly loved by her family. She will be missed.
