November 5, 1931 - December 18, 2018
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Helen on December 18, 2018 in Kelowna, BC. She was born on November 5, 1931 in Wainwright, AB. Helen lived in Barriere, Smithers, Fort McMurray, Armstrong, Parksville, Vancouver and ended up retiring in Summerland, BC. She worked with seniors and often played the church organ or piano. Helen married her husband Bruce in Coquitlam in 1956 and they worked together as a team in those communities.
Helen is survived by her loving husband Bruce, daughter Sherri (Phil) of Fort McMurray and son Merle (Lisa) of Fort McMurray. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kimbalyn, Willow (Cliff), Belle-Lana (C.J.), Abram, Zakkai, Gideon, and Karel; great-grandchildren: Joseph and Bennett, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and two sisters: Vera and Edna. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1 pm at Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services (2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong, BC V0E 1B1). Interment at the Armstrong/Spallumcheen Cemetery will follow.
