Helen Peter

July 13, 1916 - December 6, 2018
Helen was born to Julius & Katherine Toews in Barkfield, Manitoba on July 13th, 1916 and was called Home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on December 6th, 2018 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 102 years.

She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her three sons; Philip (Ursula), Carl (Gail) and Richard (Irene), 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand Peter and by all 10 of her siblings; 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Helen was a blessing to everyone who met her.

Thank you to Dr. Screen, Dr. Iredia, the staff at Creekside Landing and the Hamlets for their excellent loving care given to our mom.

For those wishing to pay their final respects to Helen, a viewing will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 from 10 am - 12 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery at 1 pm followed by a Celebration of Helen's Life at the Vernon Church of God (4312 25th Street, Vernon, BC.) at 2:30 pm with Pastor Jeff Peter officiating. A Reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Helen to the Gideons or to the Live Well Clinic.
