Born July 26, 1922 ~ Passed away on December 28, 2013 at the age of 91.
He passed away peacefully in Vernon Jubilee Hospital, with his good friends Lisa Larsen and Tanyss Lucuik at his side.
Henry was born in Oyen, Alberta, lived in Calgary, Alberta for many years, before retiring to B.C. where he lived happily for many years.
Henry loved horses, gambling, women and some wine, and I believe in that order! Bon Voyage, Henry, we shall miss you!!
At Henry’s request there will be no funeral. Our family has made our own personal toasts to Henry. The Coldstream Meadows raised their glasses in a toast to Henry as well as he was very well liked there.
We would like to thank Dr. Fred Dyck, who took care of Henry Carrier over the past many years (sometimes not an easy task) … but, Dr. Dyck, you always managed him and made him feel important and in control. An art that is fast becoming something of the past! Thank you for the hand shakes and always making him feel heard. You have no idea how you impacted his life. Thank you Dr. Dyck.
Tanyss and Ted Lucuik
We would like to say thank you to all the staff on 2 west and 3 north, but a special thank you goes out to Denise and Travis who helped us so much through that very difficult transition time of seeing one pass on.
Thank you and may you always have the wind at your back!
Tanyss Lucuik and Lisa Larsen
