HENRY (RIEKS) KERKHOF was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 5, 2004, at the age of 73 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Mina, of Enderby; his four children and their families Jackie (Stewart), Jason, Jeff and Terista de Vries; Ray (Cheryl), Tyler, Lindsey and Wyatt Kerkhof; Ron, Ashton and Jocelyn Kerkhof; Darren (Cara) Kerkhof; his mother Jacoba; two sisters Siep (Wessel) Wessels and Gre (Wessel) Hoekzema of Holland; many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Peter in 1956 and his three brothers little John in 1944, John in 1963 and Jacob in 1973; his three eldest children Peter, Trudy, and Tony in March of 1973. Henry will always be remembered for his love of farming and the pleasure of showing his ponies, as well as the many hours he spent as a volunteer at the Armstrong I.P.E. He was also very involved in the Vernon Christian Reformed Church as an elder and usher for the past 32 years. All those who knew him will sadly miss his gentle smile. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2004, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 5151 Alain, Vernon. Interment in Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby, preceded the service.
