Jul 6, 1929 - May 11, 2018
Ian Boyne passed away peacefully on May 11, 2018.  He was born on July 6, 1929 in Vernon, BC and spent his entire life in Vernon attending school, working, fishing, and making friends everywhere he went. He was a true Vernonite!

He was predeceased by wife, Alice; parents, Anne and Frank Boyne and sister, Em Caswell.

He will be lovingly remembered by daughter Sunday (Rob); granddaughters Jamie (Jason); Randi (Eric); niece Mae Mckenna & family; nephew Rae Caswell & family; along with many friends throughout Vernon.

He worked at Shilliams Garage for many years and then worked for 20 years at A1 Machine. He retired in 1994. Ian spent his retirement driving pilot car for Rocky Mountain Transport, woodworking, helping out at Desert Cove, going for breakfast Saturday mornings and playing endless games of crib.

A big thank you goes out to all the staff at Silver Springs, the staff at VJH, and a huge thank you to the amazing staff & volunteers at Hospice House.

Dad requested no service, so play a game of crib in his honor.

"Dad, now you are free to play crib with whoever you want. May you get the perfect hand!"

We invite you to leave a personal message of condolence at www.vernonfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vernon's Hospice House in memory of Ian.
