It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ida Carolina Palmer (nee Fuhr) at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on February 14, 2005 at the age of 93 years. Ida was born at McNutt, Saskatchewan on March 6, 1911. At the age of seven years the family moved to Vernon, B.C. Ida was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ida will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew her. She is survived by four children; Sons William (Elizabeth) Palmer of Louis Creek, B.C. Neal (Roberta) Palmer of Vernon, B.C. Daughters Barbara Gardner and Jean Wainwright of Cawston, B.C. She also leaves nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law Winnifred Crerar of Vernon, B.C. D.Mary McMee of Castlegar, B.C., and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Williams and the staff of Mary’s Manor. A memorial service will be held at The Pleasant Valley Funeral Home (4303 Pleasant Valley Road) on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ida Palmer may do so to the charity of their choice.
