We are sad to announce Inge Hill's peaceful passing to her eternal, heavenly home at the Gateby Care Residence . She was predeceased by her father and mother, Jakob and Juliana Moessler, her sister, Helga Baecker as well as her beloved husband, Alan Hill in 2015.
Inge was born in Austria, attended a girls' private Catholic School and lived through the Second World War when the Nazis invaded Austria. She met Alan, a handsome British Soldier, who was stationed in Klagenfurt. They were married and moved to England, Whitehorse and finally ended up in Vernon in l954.
Inge loved and owned several dalmatians but passionately cared for all animals like the deer, wild turkeys and crows she fed on her property. She enjoyed entertaining and made lifelong friends. Before retiring she worked for several doctors and at the Hospital Pharmacy.
Mourning her passing are her brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Robert Hill and their families in England, as well as Helga Tanos, Guenther Postl, Doctor Helmut Baecker and his wife Vera who reside in Austria. Here at home she will lovingly and forever be remembered by her many friends including special friends Trudy McGrath and Heidi Moosmann and special care givers, Aurora Munro, HelmaBorabo and Sue Grandy.
We are so grateful for the staff on the second floor at Gateby for the loving care they provided for our beloved Inge.
A Memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 10102Middleton Drive, Coldstream, B.C. on Friday, June 10th, 2022 at 11:00 am,officiated by Father Peter Nguyen. A Reception will follow in the church.
