It is with deep sadness that the family of Inger Knox announces her peaceful passing on October 18, 2009, in Vernon, B.C.
Inger was born in Bromhead, SK and married Clarence Knox in 1948. They farmed in the Bromhead area until 1975 when they moved to Vernon. Inger was a loving wife and caring mother. She was an excellent cook who was happiest when she was feeding others.
Inger will be lovingly remembered by her husband Clarence, her children Lloyd (Karen), Ken (Kandice), Colleen (Ken), Duane (Marlene), Sharon (Philip), Donelda (Anthony) and her brother Otto (Marlene) Hvidston. She will always be missed and remembered by her cherished 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Inger was predeceased by her oldest daughter Carol in 1981, as well as her brother Gunnar and her sister Ruth.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
A funeral will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, at 11:00am on Sunday, October 25, 2009. As an expression of sympathy those who wish to do so may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
Our thanks and appreciation to the wonderful caregivers at both Noric House and Heron Grove who took such great care of Inger.
