Irene Isinger was born on November 10, 1919 in Imrie, Alberta and passed away peacefully on November 1, 2009 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 89 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Darlene (Charlie) Sutton of Vernon, BC, Fay (Les) Sommerfeld of Vernon, BC and Donna (Walter) Mead of Kelowna, B.C; son-in-law Harold Hickson of Vernon, BC; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Harriet Tate, daughter Gwen Hickson, three sisters and one brother. Irene was known as a very generous person who always put the needs of others above her own. She loved her family dearly and had a special fondness of horses.
A funeral service will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dithmar Molzahn officiating. A reception will follow in the Tea Room at Bethel Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place at the conclusion of the Reception at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
