Jack (John) Albert Turner
With great love and pride we announce the passing of Jack (John) Albert Turner on March 19,2013 in Vernon, BC with his family by his side. Jack is survived by his five loving children- daughters Colleen (Norm) Trueman, Cindy (Richard) Hannah, Terry (Roy) Hannah, sons John (Joan) Turner, Lance Turner, grandchildren Sean (Jessica) Trueman, Patrick Trueman, Alan Garland, Cody Hannah (Sierra), Jolene (Calvin) Storey, Amber Turner (Travis), Allysa Turner (Jonathon), Angela Laveus, Charmane Hannah, Tian Hannah, Michael, J.D and Nevaeh, Crystal Black, Kailis Turner, great grandchildren Jaiden, Naomi and Rachael Trueman, Cherylyn, Alana Garland, Winter Laveus and Rebecca Storey. Jack is also survived by special niece Trish Holisky. Jack was pre-deceased by his wife Jennie in 2003, infant daughter Kathleen, sisters Grace (Duff) Holisky, Irma (Bert) Lutz, and brother partner and best friend Alfred Turner. Jack was a long time resident of Ashton Creek/ Mable Lake area. He was a Dairy Farmer from 1962 purchasing Ashton Creek store in 1972. Finally retiring in 1982 by developing TJA Contracting. Jack was an incredible husband , father, & poppa. He was a “Jack” of all trades, there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t build, or create with his own hands. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 23rd, 2013 in the chapel of Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services, 2980 Smith Dr., Armstrong, BC. Interment to follow in the Armstrong Spallumcheen Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the BC Children’s Hospital 4480 Oak Street Vancouver, BC, V6H 3V4.
