Jacoba (Cootje) Rozenhart
passed away in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Sunday, May 4th, 2008 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jules, to whom she was married for 51 years; two sons, Bruce (Anita) Rozenhart of Richmond, B.C. and Rick (Mo) Rozenhart of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren, Tara (Ho) Chan of Richmond, B.C., Krista Rozenhart of Edmonton, Alberta and Jeremy Rozenhart of Vancouver, B.C.; one great-grandson, Isaiah Chan of Richmond, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews in Holland, Norway and Switzerland. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maartje Geluk and Maaike Visser.
Cootje was a very energetic, spirited lady who lived life to the fullest, right to the very end. She enjoyed nature and loved living in the family
home on Okanagan Lake. She was a great athlete, having received award winning medals for her swimming in her younger years. Cootje was a very gifted artist as well as also being very passionate about her gardening.
She would spend many hours tending all her beautiful flowers and loved the peace and tranquility she found in her garden. She was also a long time member of Trinity United Church.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Cootje’s Life which will be held at Trinity United Church on Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Blair Odney officiating. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Cootje to Vernon Hospice House, 3506-27th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. V1T 1S4.
