James Borden Long passed away on his 95th

birthday, November 5th, 2008 at Hospice House.

He was born on November 5th, 1913 and grew up in

Preeceville, Saskatchewan.

Borden served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in

WWII and spent most of his career as a credit manager

for the International Harvester Company in Regina,

Saskatchewan where he lived for forty years. He was

always a huge Saskatchewan Roughriders fan.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Brenda

Millin (Edward) of Vernon; two grandchildren,

Nathan Millin (Lauren) of Victoria and Bronwyn

Millin of Vernon; one great granddaughter, Keira

Millin of Vernon; one sister, Lenore Zubko (Victor) of

Calgary, Alberta and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, of almost

60 years; his parents, William and Thilda Long; two

sisters: Evelyn and Norma; three brothers: Graham,

Douglas and Russel.

A Family Graveside Service was held on November

10th, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of fl owers, donations in Borden’s memory

may be made to Vernon Hospice House Society,
