James Howard Dash
September 29, 1925 – May 3, 2007
With sadness, the family of Howie (Howard) Dash announce his passing on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the age of 81 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, Vernon, BC. Howie will be dearly missed by his loving wife Edith to whom he was married for 56 years and his children Terry (Judy), Rick (Sherry), Randy (Karen) and Christine (Darin) Fowles; and his grandchildren, Jeff, Steve, Martin, Charlie, Grace, Megan and Connor and his brother Gordon. He was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara.
Howie was born in Regina, and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943 serving for 31 years. After his service he was employed by the Department of National Defence in Ottawa. Upon retirement Howie and Edith moved to Vernon, BC, and traveled extensively; he also took up a new pastime – golf.
The Dash family would like to express thanks to the staff of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and Dr. Nikki for the wonderful care he received during his stay there.
A Memorial Tea will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements are in the care of the Vernon Funeral Home. 250-542-0155.
