James Douglas (Jim) Forsyth was born on February 4th, 1947 in Lethbridge, Alberta and passed away on November 19th, 2017 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at the age of 70 years. 

He is finally at peace after having fought a lengthy battle with leukemia and is now celebrating his new life in Heaven together with his beloved wife, Linda and his father, James.

 Jim will be lovingly remembered by one son, J.J. (Courtney) Forsyth and their daughter, Kate; his mother, Lena Forsyth; one brother, Robert (Dolores) Forsyth; two nephews, Matthew (Shannon) Forsyth and Michael Forsyth; one niece, Kimberly (Rob) Anderson; and many extended family members.

As a young man, Jim resided in various communities extending from Ontario to British Columbia.  In November, 1979 he married Linda McMurray at the Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, B.C. and shortly after their marriage they moved to Calgary, Alberta where they resided until 2006.  Then, after a year of living in Invermere, B.C., Jim and Linda came to Vernon in 2007, residing here until their death.

The Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 3701-32nd Avenue, Vernon, B.C. on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Dr. Teresa Charlton officiating. 

A private Graveside Service will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery at which time Jim and Linda will be laid to rest together.
