James Glenesk


Born in Sudbury Ont., December 22, 1915 JAMES GLENESK made his transition April 30, 2005 with the assistance of his family at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. After a lengthy illness of 6 years, he will be sadly missed by all. Many thanks to Coldstream Meadows staff, Dr. J. Mann and Dr. Kadar, as well as Acute Care Nursing staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Jim was an RCAF Pilot and instructor awarded the DFC during WW II, serving 4 years, a staunch Canadian. He retired to Vernon in 1991 having lived in the Edmonton area since 1946. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Betty (Hamilton) of 57 years, his son Robert and his wife Jan (McKay), daughter Laurie and husband Craig Carmody. Four grandsons: Heath Carmody and great grandson Keean, age 4, Shannon Glenesk and wife Helen (Atkinson), Kyle Carmody, all of Vernon and Micah Carmody of Vancouver. A private gathering at the Blue Heron will celebrate his life in a Celtic Wake Ceremony on May 10, 2005. Arrangements for cremation in care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155.
