TODD
We regret to announce the death of Janet Doreen Todd on May 4, 2003, at the age of 80 years. Janet was born in Vernon to a pioneer Lavington family, Roger and Alice Smith. She returned to the Vernon area after her retirement from Labour Relations Board, as she had always loved the Okanagan. Janet was first and foremost a family oriented person, and dearly loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 1993, and was also predeceased by sister, Hazel Schunter, sister-in-law Vivian Smith, and brother-in-law, Aubrey Penny. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons: Kosto Zeviar of Vancouver, James Todd of Vernon, and Neil (Carolyn) Todd of Enderby; daughter Jo-Ann (Ed) Lucas of Vernon; eight grandchildren and five great-granchildren. She is further survived by brother, Harvey Smith of Lavington; sister, Phyllis Penney of Vernon; brothers-in-law Bill Schunter of Lumby and Alfred (Dorothy) Todd of Victoria; and many extended family members. Cremation will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service, to be held on Saturday, may 10, at 3:30 P.M., in the chapel of Vernon Funeral Home, with the Reverend Bob Thompson officiating.
