Jean Willoughby Dunn Clark passed away at Vernon on Monday, January 26, 2004. Aged ninety-two years. Jean will be lovingly remembered by daughter Marty Laidlaw (Len Laidlaw) of Vernon; grandsons Chris Laidlaw of Vernon, David Laidlaw of San Francisco, Alan Laidlaw (Angela) of Hudson Hope, Ian Laidlaw of Vernon; great grandchildren Gabriel and Jacob of Hudson Hope, brother Russell Dunn (Margaret) of Toronto; sister-in-law Doris Dunn of London, Ontario; and extended family. Predeceased by brother Howard Dunn. Born and raised in Montreal, Jean attended McGill University and the Royal Conservatory of Music. She had a varied employment history from working at Macy’s in New York, as a realtor and journalist in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for P. Lawson Travel in Vancouver, Home Economist for Edith Adams Cottage at the Vancouver Sun and a pianist for the Vancouver School Board. Jean was an active member of the Vancouver Lawn and Tennis Club where she will be fondly remembered. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2004 at St. John’s Anglican Church, 1490 Nanton Avenue (4310 Granville St.), Vancouver.
