Jean Davis passed away on April 20, 2016 at the age of 85. Survived by her daughter Sarita (Darcy) Chapdelaine of Calgary; sons Richard Boedeker of Kelowna, Geoff (Mary Lou) Boedeker of Calgary; grandchildren Kiera and Tia Boedeker, Phoebe Chapdelaine; nephew Michael (Shela) Davis of Tanzania and niece Anne Davis of England. Predeceased by her brother John Davis.
Jean was born July 6, 1930 in Wanstead, England and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She married Winifried Boedeker in 1958 and had 3 children in the years that followed. After her marriage Jean settled in Vernon where she worked as an RN at Vernon Jubilee for 30 years. She had a strong love for animals and spent much of her life horseback riding around BC with her dogs trailing behind her. Jean was a woman of many talents with a wild and adventurous spirit. Her pearls of wisdom and infectious laughter serve as a memory to all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and fierce friend who will forever be missed.
