Jean Marjorie Haymond passed way peacefully at Vernon at Sunday, June 13, 2004. She recently celebrated her 80th birthday. Jean will be lovingly remembered by four daughters Lesly (George) McMillan of Armstrong, Theresa (Richard) Turner of Faro, Yukon, Valerie (Edward) Meyer of Vancouver and Susan Haymond of Vernon; two sons Michael (Lynda) of Edmonton and Richard (Deanne) of Casper, Wyoming; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Jean moved from Montreal to Vernon in 1968 and resided there since. She worked at Consumers Glass – Lavington Plant until she retired in 1989. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was an important part of Jean’s life. She served a mission from 1989 – 1994 at the Church Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Vernon. David R. Salmon officiating. Cremation.
