With great sadness, the family of Jeanette (Janet) Lemiski (nee Campeau) announces her passing on December 30, 2014.
Janet was born December 2, 1935 in Tecumseh Ontario. She worked much of her life at the General Motors Trim Plant in Windsor and then moved to Vernon with her loving husband Frank to enjoy their retirement. Janet loved traveling the world with Frank, quilting and sewing and spending time with family and friends. She loved to organize get-togethers and brought so much life and laughter to any gathering. She will be deeply missed by a family that relied on her many contributions and positive energy.
Janet was pre-deceased by her parents, Thomas and Alva Campeau of Ontario, parents in-law, Michael and Isabelle Lemiski of Vernon. She is survived by her beloved husband Frank Lemiski of Vernon and her dear sons Thomas Campeau of Oshawa and Ronald Campeau of Tecumseh. As part of a large family Janet was a dear and loving sister to Eleanor Deloge, Lawrence and Loretta Campeau, Angela and Moise Baillargeon, Rachel and Richard Beausoleil, Theresa and Albert Mueller, Adelard and Elizabeth Campeau, Eva and Joseph McCloskey, Paul and Bernadette Campeau and Antoinette and Raymond Graveline. Janet was a loving sister-in-law to Donald and Bridget Lemiski (Vernon) and Michael and Hedy Lemiski (Calgary). Janet will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM at 4303 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon BC. Memorial donations can be made to ALS Canada.
