Joan Ellen Pozzobon (nee Brown) passed away January 27, 2019 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital with her family by her side.

An adoring Wife, kind hearted Mother and a proud Grandmother, Joan was born on July 14, 1937 in Vancouver, BC and lived the majority of her life in Vancouver, Maple Ridge, and the North Okanagan/Shuswap.

Reading was among many of Joan's favorite activities, which also included creating beautiful art in the forms of quilting, sewing, gardening, painting, and her genuine ability to live life to the fullest. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, truly cherishing the relationships she built along the way. She was known to family and close friends as 'Noni' and loved dancing to Johnny Reid.

Joan grew up in Vancouver, where she was first employed at Underwood Typewriter Company. She spent several years working at the Sewing Basket in Salmon Arm after many years at her family-run Dairy Farm. Her favorite job came naturally, as she was always the fabric of her family. She loved to go camping with her grandchildren, one of many ways Noni created an ideal environment for love to flourish. She always knew when to have a big keyboard and when to share a loving hug.

Joan will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Antonio of 61 years, brothers Bill (Joan) & Rowland (Marion) Brown, daughters Lisa (Dave Hartwig) Scafe and Lori Brian) Bingham, and her four grandchildren; Kyle (Brittany) & Dustin Scafe, Colby (Ashley) & Reece Bingham, as well as her great-grandchild Gianna (daughter of Kyle) Scafe, close family friends Kelly (Ted) Weins and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be strongly missed by her special neighbors, quilting group, and book club friends, notably her "Fab Five".

She was pre-deceased by her parents Arthur and Helen Brown (Hawkridge), niece Cathy Pozzobon, nephew Joe Mielty and brother-in- law Willy Pozzobon. Joan will be sadly missed by all who knew her. No formal funeral service as per request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Allan Brooks Nature Centre in Memory of Joan by visiting: http://www.abnc.ca.
