JOCELYN VIVIAN STANWAY (nee Locke)

Jocelyn Stanway passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 2, 2002 at age 72 years. She is survived by her loving husband Gerald (Jim) of Vernon, British Columbia, ten children; daughters Chris Moorman (Lee) of Fort St. John, Susan Stanway of Victoria, Pamela Bast (Pat) of Squamish, Ronni Dixie (John) of Red Deer and Dawn Bittner (Rob) of Savona; sons Bruce (Linda) and Bill (Margaret) of Grand Cayman, Herb (Ferne) of Grande Prairie, Tim (Cathy) of Vernon and Mike (Joey) of New Jersey. She was predeceased by an infant son Elliott in 1970, daughter Cheryl Laboucane (Victor) in 1971, and son Jerry (Brenda) in 1998. Jocelyn leaves behind many other special people including 42 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren, mother Thelma Locke, brother Mel Locke (Edna), sisters Merle Neufeld (Jim), Darlene Locke, Beverly Locke, Melody Jackson (Wayne), and Michelle Allen (Reg) and many nieces, nephews and special friends too numerous to mention. Jocelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt. Regardless of how many special people there were in her life, she always had room in her heart and home for more. She will be sadly missed by the multitude of individuals whose lives she touched. A memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vernon, British Columbia on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at 3:00 pm.
