was born on December 27th, 1924 in Nijmegen, Netherlands and passed away on August 11th, 2018 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 93 years. Johanna immigrated to Canada, arriving in Tappen, B.C. in January of 1949 and moved to Vernon, B.C. later that spring.
Johanna will be lovingly remembered by her children; Bert (Jeanne) O'Brien of West Kelowna, B.C., Tony (Doni) O'Brien of Vernon, B.C., Eileen Poitras of Vernon, B.C., Patrick O'Brien of St. Albert, Alberta and Iris (Perry Kropp) Demoe of Kamloops, B.C., her grandchildren; Desiree O'Brien, Leanna (Derek) Anderson, Maureen (Chris) Williamson, Tannis (Stacey) Restiaux, Kelsey (Melissa) Warwick, Staci Warwick, Sean (Bezz) O'Brien and David (Kayla) O'Brien, her great-grandchildren; Danny O'Brien, Liam O'Brien, Corey & Mason Anderson, Grayson Williamson, Colby & Hudson Restiaux, Kiana Warwick, Aryana & Noah O'Brien and Ophilia O'Brien along with numerous extended family members and friends.
Johanna was preceded in death by her husband; Patrick, her brother; Arnold Jansen, her parents; Albert & Lena Jansen, her great-grandson; Hunter Restiaux, her son-in-law; Cyr Poitras and by her daughter-in-law; Heather O'Brien.
Interment of Johanna & Patrick's cremated remains preceded a Reception which will be held in the Tea Room of Bethel Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at 12:00 pm
