MR. JOHN ELMER COPELAND passed away in Hospice House on Wednesday, March 17th, 2004 at the age of 74 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, June, to whom he was married for 52 years, one daughter; Patricia (Mark) White of Crossfield, Alberta, four sons; Leonard (Debby) Copeland of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Michael (Joanne) Copeland of Nanaimo, B.C., David Copeland of Grande Prairie, Alberta and Bryce (Anita) Copeland of Gabriola Island, B.C., one sister; Muriel (Bill) Waring of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, one brother; Tom Copeland of Etonia, Saskatchewan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and one nephew. Cremation preceded the Memorial Service which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 20th, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Allan Dawe officiating. John’s cremated remains will be laid to rest in the Merrington Cemetery, Kindersley, Saskatchewan at a later date.
